YG Report 22 May 2013 22:33

My ex used to use a screwdriver to dig out weeds :-D :-D It would take me forever to do all my grass. I much prefer the spring feed/weedkiller option :-D :-D :-D

I am off now, as I have just brought in the washing and need to sort it out before going to bed :-P

Sleep well LG <3

He used to use a butter knife to dig out daisies and dandelions too. Right miserable old Git he was.

YG

YG Report 22 May 2013 22:17

My goodness, LG, if I tried that, I would have blisters on my thumbs and fingers :-0 :-0

I am trying very hard to get the lawns looking good, but won't go to those extremes :-D :-D

LaGooner Report 22 May 2013 22:01

Just reminded me that years ago there was an OAP living near me who used to trim the lawn edge with a small pair of scissors. :-D :-D :-D :-D. Weeds were terrified to grow in his garden it was immaculate.
Bit like mine really ;-) NOT !!!!

Is it a Hairdresser wanting to cut hedges :-S, It would take ages with scissors and clippers ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D.

Good evening thanks but feeling a bit off colour again now. Typical it is a cold developing and we are supposed to be away this weekend :-| :-| :-|

YG Report 22 May 2013 21:07

For goodness sake, Maz, don't go near Errol with the mower. He won't have any privet left on him to snip, snip :-D :-D

What are all these avatars of a Scotsman about? I know nothing :-D :-D :-D

DET, I don't know what happened to the gardener. More false promises, I think. My naked gardener was next door this evening and I will ask him to do the hedge when it is ready for trimming, but he is too busy to do the rest of it. There is someone advertising in the hairdressing salon, so I will try to remember to write down the number on my next visit.

Evening LG. Hope you had a good evening at Brownies :-)

The weather has turned now. It is very blustery so I guess the rain is on it's way :-P :-P

Evening YG - my, you do have a lot of energy, but without an 'Im in doors, its all down to you. :-0
What ever happened to the promised gardener? You'd have thought that with high unemployment, it would be easy enough to get someone in to push a mower around, even if you don't trust them with more specialist tasks

LaGooner Report 22 May 2013 20:19

Evening all, I got home from Brownies, had some tea and now chilled out for the evening.

YG

YG Report 22 May 2013 20:17

Evening, DET.

No, I'm not gadding about tonight!! I came home from work, got changed and went straight outside to cut all the grass. It has turned into a lovely day here, although they were forecasting heavy rain tonight, so I thought I would take the opportunity while I could. It also saves some work this weekend :-D :-D

I have just finished eating dinner and am now relaxing. :-D :-D

Evening - made here at last. 2 sessions of work today with shopping and a Sains lunch in between. OH has been monopolizing the PC since before I got back after the last session. :-|

Bet you've got a lovely clean kitchen floor by now Maz. The wonders of a long length of string!

If you're still feeling under the weather Paula, was it wise to attempt Keep Fit today? Sorry to hear that the bug effected you while you were away - we normally come down with 'stuff' when we get home.

Is YG gadding about town tonight, or was that a treat for another day? It never rains but it pours!!!

LG, It seems there are so many people with coughs and colds at the moment. I think mine is caused by the Air Con and the plane, I developed a chest infection after a few days on holiday, finished antibotics yesterday.
