Sorry to butt in here, as no-one knows me, but I have always been interested in spiritualism. A few years ago, after reading a couple of Doris Stokes' books, I went to see her 'performing' here in my home town and wasn't at all impressed and thought she was a fake. She has since died and I wonder if any of you remember her and have an opinion. If anybody could recommend a good medium, I would be really grateful.

what intrests me is finding past people
but i dont mind doing this after a reading

Yup, I have an opinion on her Wendiwoo. Much the same as yours.

There used to be a programme on many years ago called Friday Live, with Gillian Reynolds and Chris someone or other as the presenters. At the time the Ripper was still on the loose. Doris Stokes was on the programme and said that when they caught him he would be called (in her words) John or Johnny Morris or Morrison.

My mum and I were having a laugh with a neighbour, Mrs Morris, and saying Ey up they're blaming your Jack for it now. Jack Morris had been dead a fair few years. If it wasn't for this little joke with Mrs Morris I would have probably forgotten what Doris had said.

A few years after they caught the Ripper, now known to be Peter Sutcliff, she was on another programme claiming to have named him correctly on Friday Live.

I'm a Spiritualist and I have to say I have come across far better mediums in the local churches than any of the "famous" ones you see on the TV.

Joy, good luck with your new job. I hope it all goes ok for you and that you enjoy it.
