This one was popular at camp...

The ants were marching two by two
Hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching two by two
hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching two by two
The little one stopped to do up his shoe
And they all went marching down
To the ground
To get out
Of the rain boom boom boom

The ants were marching three by three
Hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching three by three
Hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching three by three
The little one stopped to do a wee
And they all went marching down
To the ground
To get out
Of the rain boom boom boom

…and so on, with the little one stopping to
Shut the door
look in a hive
pick up sticks
Go to heaven
Shut the gate
Walk on the line

Last verse…
The ants were marching ten by ten
Hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching ten by ten
Hurrah Hurrah
The ants were marching ten by ten
If you want any more I’ll sing it again
And they all went marching down
To the ground
To get out
Of the rain boom boom boom booooooooom

And I can but offer this one. Sung to the tune of William Tell Overture (think Lone Ranger) if I remember correctly.

A guy had a game with a ping pong ball
A guy had a game with a ping pong ball
A guy had a game with a ping pong ball
With a piiiiiiing, pong ball

With a ping, With a ping, With a ping,With a ping,
With a ping pong ping pong ping pong ball

A guy had a game with a ping pong ball
With a piiiiiing pong ball

Second verse

A guy had a game with a pong ping ball
A guy had a game with a pong ping ball
A guy had a game with a pong ping ball
With a pooooooong, ping ball

I think you get the idea!!

I also have "The Cub Book for Australian Cubs" edition 1952. In the dim recesses of my memory I think my brother may have been involved. Or more likely I picked it up at a secondhand book sale when my kids were little.
