We met 'Patrick' from Patrick's pantry - he used to have a cookery slot. I think he was on Anglia News.

My mum met Mr Pastry! He gave her a rolling pin that she never used; she preferred to use a milk bottle.

Back in the early seventies former US President visited Newcastle via Newcastle airport.

Prime Minister James Callahan and President Jimmy Carter drove into Newcastle's city centre in an armour plated limousine with their entourage. I was standing at kerb with others as they passed very close distance.

David Essex...had a chat with him at half time at a footie match at Upton Park.
Geoff Hurst...wow, how tall?

There are others I have seen at a distance, but not actually met and spoken to.

EDIT: Just remembered, Lionel Blair, about 35 years ago now, but what a lovely man. He was so nice and signed a get well card for my mum because she had missed the show due to being in hospital. She still has it.
