Joy, the OH put in 56 seeds down the allotment about a month ago, and all but 1 have germinated. I will be knee deep in them, when it is picking time. Set my tomato seeds in kitchen window sill, about 24th March, and they are over an inch high, and ready to produce their first pair of true leaves. |

Yes stop worrying Stray, I planted carrots 3/4 weeks ago and they are just starting to germinate. The weather has them all of a dither. :-D No gardening here today, it hasn't stopped raining since we got up. Just popped to a new store called What? Apparently they have stores in Bristol and one other place. A bit like a cross between Dunelm, The range and a pound shop. They have taken over a Focus store. But the world and his wife were in there today, the car park was heaving, I would guess the combination of a new store, a wet day and people not being able to go anywhere yesterday. They were doing well though. Bought Nasturtium seed for 79p, 10 large plant labels for 90p, a seeded coconut half for the birds for 79p, four lots of craft stickers two for £1 so not bad really. |
