two and a half pounds of tomatos, onions, green peppers, apples and sundry other ingredients for green tomato chutney.


I think I could do with a bigger saucepan :-0 :-S :-D

I haven't made piccalilli for years, I used to like that,
Problem with such things is it's a bit stinky while the vinegars simmering off - it smells like someones been Uncle Dick here at the moment :-0 :-0

I used very green tomatos - would have passed as small apples LOL

I'm going off in a few mom.,. I was going to offer you some green tomatoes. Me Dad's got about a hundred in a draw trying to rippen them. You could have had some of them.
Yes simmering vinegar does have a touch of the Uncle Dick's about it.

Ooo. I forgot. There's someone on here does not like us to post about jam making, crocheting, and swede growing. I wonder if that means adjacent subjects such as chutney.
Hope you enjoy yourself tonight smelling all that.
