Please
Search word can only contain alphanumeric characters, hypens(-) or apostrophes (')

I was trying to search something and that is what I got. I was actually searching something in my name, something else that is strange I see on the left hand side is this

"Please do not post anything here which may offend, infringe anyone's rights, or breach the law.

If you see anything here that may do so, then please inform us of it using the contact us page.

We do not generally monitor contributions before they appear here, so we rely upon users to help eliminate offending material.

Before posting, please read the guidelines for message board use."

Now that is something that has never appeared before so I am going to stop looking for what I wanted and play and see if it appears again :-D

If you are using 'quick search' you can only use one word, so you could use horse or horse's or probably horse-shoe....but you couldn't use horse (space) hair.

The main reason is that computer keyboards differ around the globe but, generally speaking, alphanumeric characters are always in the same place with a few exceptions. So if you use non-alphanumeric characters for, say, passwords, it can confuse the system or search engine. Also some non-alphanumeric characters are used as search wildcards such as the asterisk.
As far as passwords are concerned, it is easier to remember "mycatsname" than "3&(R$^87234jghjg&*(^h"

Thanks to all for your answers, I wasn´t searching for anything difficult just something in my name or roughly the name of the thread or a word in the thread,

As it stands I found the thread I was looking for by going through the long route (nearly 6 years back ! )

But anyway Thanks everybody
