I went out today, and sometimes I put a sunhat on, but only if I was in the sun. As soon as I was under a shady verandah or in a shop I took my hat off as it was much too hot. |

If I could find them I would send you some earmuffs, Huia. I had some in bright colours when my son was younger and I would wear them to take him to school when it was chilly. My hair was longer and thicker then but now I prefer hats, have quite a selection now. |

Dont worry, Liz. I am taking care of my ears, wearing a woolly hat to bed at night, and when I went out this morning there was a cold wind blowing so I wore 2 woolly hats. I didnt need them in the shop, or afterwards. |

Lol, yes your ears are neat and I do love your description of a certain Royal with large ears. Hope the weather will warm up so your ears don't get frostbite, bless you. |

Of course, I do have the advantage of having 'neat' ears as one woman put it. That is to say, they are not red sails in the sunset like those of a certain royal. I might not have been so keen if mine had been like that. :-0 |

Yes, Liz, I am hoping to get up to my sister's haircut so we can both be photographed together. |

Thank you everybody. I worked in one Hospice shop until it was closed and another opened. I now work in the new one and had my hair off in the hopes of getting publicity for the new shop, plus the money of course. I also think I am a 'bit' of a show-off in my old age! I also felt that it would show women that if they lose their hair it is not really a big deal to go about bare-headed. Men do it, so why not women? Several years ago I saw a bald headed woman walking about town and she looked totally unconcerned, and I thought 'she is beautiful' so that thought helped me. It is the character that matters, not beautiful hair. I hope I have the nice character - I am working on it. |
