Thanks Ann, I will take a look on line x

AnninGlos Report 20 Nov 2012 16:52

We have one actually for the pc but we also have a free standing small label printer which works very well. Bought on line don't think it was that expensive and, unlike the pc one which prints sheets, this one will print individual labels. It is made by Brother.

Ann I wish I had a label programme :-D

AnninGlos Report 20 Nov 2012 16:13

Hi Jules, I hate writing the addresses but we have a label programme on the pc and OH prints out all the labels. Do 5-10 a day, take it slowly and I am sure people appreciate them all the more for knowing how hard it is for you.

Well done Ann :-D

I have brought all the presents and cards and just have to wrap them up which I hate with a passion and post them....Got to do it before 11th Dec as im having an op on some toes on both feet and won't be able to wear shoes and socks for 6weeks!! :-S....I find writing cards difficult because of my hands and weakness in my arms so i'm going to take my time doing them, I have about 40 to write..

Are you planning tomorrows tea me dear? :-D :-D

AnninGlos Report 19 Nov 2012 21:16

We do give the older grandsons some cash but buy them small presents as well. Not too bad as they all liver away from home and for small gifts they are always grateful for things like special mustard, horse radish, spices etc. all the men in daughter's household have things for the kitchen, they all cook.

Mo I bought enough stamps for Christmas before they went up early in the year but I may have to cut down next year.

I wrote all my Christmas cards today, but now need to start on my Dad's, as he's unable to write now. He sends more than me!
I find present buying quite hard - what to buy - money seems such a cop out, but older grandchildren prefer cash, anyway.
Never mind, a few more weeks and it will all be over.

PollyinBrum Report 19 Nov 2012 19:09

I am now (semi) retired and so for the first time ever I am so organised am almost scaring myself. I wrapped six presents on Saturday, went into the City on Sunday and brought the Christmas cards and most of my Christmas presents. I am buying the rest online.

So Ann I am with you and feeling extremely pleased with myself.

;-)

We will be doing a Hampshire / Surrey visit soon to do a parcel drop, when we need to visit that area anyway and I am taking Christmas cards and a birthday card for early December too... It's up to them when they open them. Daughter is bringing her cards over to give to the same people, so between us we should save a fair bit on postage.

No presents wrapped yet and no idea what to buy the menfolk of the family.... but I've made a start on others.

Thanks to you Ann, my cards for OZ and NZ will arrive in time. I haven't written the ones for this country yet though.
I think I will need to take out a second mortgage for the stamps though. Love Mo

Ann

done all presents to be sent which includes a birthday as well, done some of my lot but got a bit more done today as when they moved in Lis and Ben said what they suddenly realised they needed so gave them a couple of presents early so they can use them, they still have a couple here they can have on the day.

Got to think what to get mum and dad I mean they have everything lol plus dad is 70 just after christmas so need to plan that as well.

Cards are written but no addresses on yet as I usually do labels for regular addresses but puppy chewed memory stick they were on so had to ask dad for addresses for my side and asked Steve sister for their side arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
