Take pity on this newby! I keep seeing references to being RR'd in the threads. What is it? Does it hurt? :-S

I have asked that question too ..............

Rambling Report 19 Nov 2012 21:12

Next to your name it says 'Report' ,that used to be 'Request Review' hence the RR :-D just means one of the posts or threads has been reported for content possibly against T & Cs. Some people have been RRd more than others , sometimes fairly, sometimes just out of spite.

LollyWithSprinklez Report 19 Nov 2012 21:14

No it's more of an irritation :-(

When a thread or post is reported and reviewed (often Maliciously) and usually for no good reason other than someones idea of getting back at someone.

Joy

Joy Report 19 Nov 2012 21:16

At the top of the thread is
Posted by Options Post Date

Next line is your board name then the word Report then 19 Nov 2012 21:04

Click on Report and you will see Request a Review - that is what people mean by R'R.

If someone objects to what you have posted then they click the Report button.

That removes your actual post until GR decide whether it has broken the rules.

If not they reinstate it, otherwise they remove it and usually send you an email.

A problem is that some people use the report button too frequently or as a means of getting at a particular person.

Another problem is that GR are not always consistent and sometimes posts get reinstated and then removed.

Also GR usually fail to inform the poster what message has been removed and why.

They also use rather strong language which can be rather hurtful especially if it is not clear what the problem with the post is.

Geordie It don't hurt a bit. In fact, it is a bit of a trophy on here. There is even a special club for those who get rr'd.

I can give you plenty of advice about how to get in the club. What things to put, who to niggle. RR's have really improved my complexion and made me a lot more desirable to the opposite sex. ;-)

Welcome to the real world :-0

When is John going to turn nice? ;-)

I miss Eldrick :-( and his insights.

Hi Geordie. Get RR'd, share it with all your friends on here and get silly :-D :-D

Hmm - sounds a bit like an ASBO. You're not in the club until you get one.
Wonder how long I will keep my nose clean!
Better give me that advice, John........

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 20 Nov 2012 17:00

Andy

I think what Geordie and me are saying is...... why, when no one else has it?????

GinN

GinN Report 20 Nov 2012 17:31

Does that mean it's always on your own post, but nobody sees that on anyone elses on the threads?

Sorry to be a thicko!

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 20 Nov 2012 17:37
