Thank you Ann. I hadn´t looked at it like that but it is a change to have something nice happen and in some ways it´s a shame that it´s taken Mum´s dementia to bring it about, but the way my Uncles are rallying around (even though there isn´t much they can do) is a bonus to me for morale if nothing else. I know I will never lose touch with them again. The daftest thing is my cousin lives in .........Yep Spain ! no where near me unfortunately and I doubt the cousins and myself will ever be intouch, There are 5 of them and the eldest 2 I last saw when they were about 4 and 6 the next she was a baby and the other 2 I never even knew about. |

Funny how things work out Uzzi. I was never close to my Dad's side of the family as they lived too far away for us to visit often and Dad didn't have a car. Even tho one aunt was my Godmother we didn't know each other well. As I became an adult I did visit one or two of them including my Gran (who I hardly knew either) if I travelled near Buckingham for any reason but it's since my Mum died and I inherited her address book that I have become much more friendly with several cousins and an aunt by marriage, as well as two of my Dad's cousins (one sadly passed away now) I have visited several of them and talk regularly on the phone to one cousin who is ten years older than I am. |

Thanks Liz, I know there are going to be ups and downs with the house. I really don´t have a lot of time so I am having to be brutal about things but on the other hand I do keep finding lots of money :-D |

Uzzi that is lovely and maybe they are as pleased to be back in touch with you as you are to be hearing and seeing them. I am fortunate in that I have always remained in touch with cousins an some second cousins, Uncles and Aunts too until they passed on. It is good to hear about you having something good to talk about with your family, you have had a lot to put up with. |

Thanks Ann I am hoping that by de-cluttering and bringing the price down yet again that we might see some movement. So the sorting the house out is 2fold really. |
