Well the cat is downsizing! it brought in a little honeyeater (bird). I managed to save it and released it outside where it immediately flew away.

There were a few feathers on the carpet! I wouldn't mind but we've only just had the carpet cleaned :-|

I said to my wife "Either that cat goes, or I go"

It was nice of her to pack my suitcase.

Allan. Well known fact that cats don't like acid rain. Never thought of vinegar :-D ;-)

lol Ann. For a while I thought that it was next door's cat which is also a black one abd saunters around the outside of the house with a total disregard of our two cats.

Also strange, we let the Guinea Pigs loose in the garden and the cats don't bother them :-S

interesting - next door's cat is getting fatter and fatter by eating my cat's food - the owner has bought exactly the same food my cat eats, but nothing stops her - I've tried all sorts but she's too flippin' quick for me and she sits outside looking at me whilst licking her lips!!!!

OH is ok with mice and birds but draws the line at rats :-|

We did have a 'rogue' cat visit us a little while ago.

We noticed that our cats' plates were extremely clean each morning. I got up early one morning just in time to see a black object hurtle towards the cat flap.

So we fixed the cat flap so that the xats could get in, but not out. Sure enough we caught the cat and after hitting it with a rolled up newspaper we let it go.

Everything was fine for a few days, and then the clean plates started again. We did the same trick with the cat flap and this time when we caught the cat we sprayed it with a water/vinegar mix.

We've not seen it since :-)

My cat has brought in a few live "presents" over the years, but the worst thing she brought in was another cat!
One night, when I was on my own, she jumped through the window, with a large black cat close behind. There ensued a vicious and very noisy catfight on my bed, until I managed to grab the intruder and throw it out by the scruff of the neck.
Had to have a VERY large brandy to calm myself down!

to be perfectly honest Allan, as long as it's in the privacy of your own home, it's consensual and you love each other, it's no one else's business ;-)

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 27 Nov 2012 23:25

Allan

Allan Report 27 Nov 2012 23:23

Well, Ann, if I was to take up all the offers from various pharmaceutical companies who send me emails, I'd be a fine upstanding citizen ;-)
