Edibility
19th century illustrationThe fruits are edible, with a minty flavor,[8] and the leaves and branches make a fine tisane, through normal drying and infusion process. For the leaves to yield significant amounts of their essential oil, they need to be fermented for at least 3 days.[9]

Teaberry is also an ice cream flavor in regions where the plant grows. It also inspired the name of Clark's Teaberry chewing gum.

Thanks John and Ann :-D

It's a shame that the plants in the shop/s are so dry, used to be the same with Woolies, I was always buying half dead plants to 'rescue' them from an arid end lol. These have perked up so much after a long soak :-D

Please go on out and rescue a plant from the 99p shop today !! lol ;-)

Rose:-D :-D

AnnC knows a lot about it and deserves to be thanked.

I know nothing and was having a gentle leg-pull. I feel bad now :-(

On news today, I saw a shed growing these Christmas plants that everybody buys - painsettlers (sounds like).

I know of three houses within 6 miles of me that have been busted for growing large commercial amounts of cannabis this year. Yet I know of no buildings where they grow painsettlers or any other potted plants. Business opportunity perchance?
