Hello
Dizzi has asked me to put this thread up, as it is felt by some friends of Dizzi’s that the wording she used in her own thread is causing people to worry a bit too much in some areas of her own health. Dizzi has asked me to let you her friends know how she is doing & how she is feeling. So I will try…

After talking with Dizzi on the phone today she said she is feeling frightened in as much that she can’t do some of the things she could do just a short time ago. I said to her it’s perfectly normal for her to feel that way as she has been very ill & is still in recovery time, that this is the time to allow family & friends to help her. Dizzi would like to let you know that she knows she can do some things for herself & does when she can. Her family & friends are helping her get through this & are doing all they can to help.

The Medical staff Dizzi sees are now starting to get her meds under control & this has had very positive results such as… after years of shaking due to Parkinson’s the shaking has nearly all gone. Dizzi is having tests done & will know more when she gets results through.
She knows just how ill she was & it has left her feeling vulnerable. Carla & I have assured her that all she needs to do is get the rest she needs & let family, friends & Medical staff that care for her help her.

Dizzi asked me to make sure I say a big THANK YOU to ALL her friends on here for all the kind words & get well wish’s you have posted on this site & by e-mails. This has meant a lot to Dizzi & helped her through the worst times. So on behalf of Dizzi THANK YOU ALL.

Please don’t stop your kind postings to Dizzi as she still needs you all.

Dizzi while you had your stay in hospital you took one day at a time & got a little better each day, now you’re home you need to continue to do just the same. If you need us we are here just ‘phone us or anyone family or friend because so many people are there for you, there’s nothing to worry abou,t Team Dizzi is here!!

Thanks Ron.

Dizzi has so many good friends on here , you are one of the privileged along with others especially Carol who kept us informed of Dizzi progress in hosp who have phone contact with her.

Perhaps peeps did overreact over Dizzi's post but only because they were worried she was alone. Let her know that we understand and will continue to post best wishes and loads of rubbish ;-) to her :-)

Keep improving Dizzi :-) <3

Hope Dizzi will feel much better soon.

Can I just mention to people who may not know, that aside from the physical aspects of Parkinsons, getting the medication right makes a huge difference to the emotional aspect also. Without being on those drugs at the moment, Dizzi 'may ' also be finding everything more 'worrying'.

Will remove the comment if it is felt unhelpful...but it is based on my mum's experience when the level of dopamine was/ or needed to be,altered.

Thanks Ron, I wasn't able to form a reply to Dizzi's post...lolol hence my phone call.

I understand just how vulnerable you feel when coming out of hospital after a long stay let alone Dizzi realising just how ill she was.

Now Dizzi must rest and not attempt to do something that will be unachievable cos that will pee her off!

Little steps, slow but sure. If a panic starts PHONE A FRIEND!

You'r very welcome Dizzi, you just get well & we will come see you soon ok. :-D

*$parkling $andie* Dizzi does have some very good friends on here indeed, she is one lucky lady & I think she now knows it. She also knows people only worry because they care about her & think well of her.

RamblingRose thank you for the info you posted I found that good food for thought as will others.

Ron~~

I probably didn't phrase my post properly ,when I said peeps were concerned that Dizzi was alone ( after spilling a hot drink , wondering was she hurt ? ).. I meant really 'home alone' with no one to turn to physically.
Peeps were under that opinion and were trying to get someone to find out a way of getting her help.
Thankfully that wasn't the case .:)

Dizzi~~ You do worry us on times , but it's only because we care about you , see your not the only one to use the wrong words ;-)
But these aren't ...you have to take it easy and give yourself time to recuperate , as Rose said your meds make affect you until they can get the right balance, asap we trust.
Take care now ((hugs))
luv

Thanks for the info. Ron.
It is good to know that Dizzi has yet another friend that she can rely on.

Take it easy Dizzi, one little step at a time, even if it does mean coming to a standstill once in a while.

Hope that the sun is soon shining, and you can look out of your windows and see beautiful blue skies again.

It all helps to lift the spirits.

:-) :-) :-)

Dizzi ~ I hope Santa brought you some books, so get yourself in a comfy chair with a cuppa and relax!

Don't worry about housework (unless someone else is doing it, then boss them around)......... the dust settles, it's only noticeable if you move anything <3

Take good care of yourself. :-)

Huia

Huia Report 30 Dec 2012 02:31

You have also noticed that about dust, Scozz. I rarely move anything and when I do I am horrified at the mark that is left so hurriedly replace the object in the same place, much simpler than trying to find a duster and going around dusting everywhere. :-0

Doesn't it feel good to have so much love surrounding you Gwen, people who care about you and have your best interests at heart? Hope you can start to feel more confident as the days go on, not having the shaking to contend with must feel strange but great so. as 'they' say, keep taking the tablets and act like a lady in Downton Abbey or similar, sit at your leisure and order everyone about, to do your bidding and your chores. I am sure you could become very used to it lol

love
