Sorry ladies I`m one of those missing Socks at the moment. :-D
I`m deep into researching a Pansy Palmer.

The thing is, I keep putting "Patsy" Palmer into the name search boxes, and then wondering why nothing ties in... Doh! :-(

(Flippin Eastenders has got a lot to answer for). :-P :-D

##3. Keep away from fire and flame

I have already eaten the kimble on a slice of buttered toast. And have put the hook in my angling tackle. You expect kimbles and hooks when you put socks on.

But how can socks be such a fire hazard? ##

if polyester is being worn when it ignites, it melts and stick to the skin.......

I was in need of some socks........so............

I buy two packs of socks..........16 pairs, but the shades in the different packs are different..........so I sometimes find that I am wearing a "pair" of two different but very close shades of socks, now I dont notice this.........but others do........LOL :-)

I do like a man whose not afraid of his socks - the brighter the better - like those dayglo bobby socks worn in the late fifties. Yeah, man! Especially worn with a pair of brothel creepers. ;-)

Or maybe those beige felted hiking socks, with bits of bogweed and heather stuck on them, steaming in front of a peat fire in a bothy. Very rugged!

Does that do it for you, Wend?

Wend

Wend Report 5 Jan 2013 22:45

Sorry Geordie, you got me feeling sweaty and dizzy there for a while - had to go for a lie-down.

Feeling refreshed now :-D

ive witnessed the savage killing of several socks this wk, a hideous act performed almost weekly by my devil dog charlie, who during the day acts like a cute bubbly lab,but by night turns into the dog from hell,

charlie also likes to get his teeth into undies and nicks, and several times ive gone to work with my ar*e hanging out of my underwear.
i could weep for my lovely socks lying on the floor mangled and torn and completely useless never to be worn on my lovely manicured feet again. :-( :-( :-( :-(

Packs of brightly coloured odd socks were being sold at great expense in the lead-up to Christmas.
Perhaps you ladies could team up to start a new venture in time for the next season.

Big socks are difficult to find at reasonable cost. Grandson likes wacky ones, but just has to have what we can find to fit (size 15)

Kay????

...But how long do you leave it before deciding the partner sock is really lost and not just lurking in a yet-to-be-discovered corner?

I have a bag of vaguely similar black / nearly black socks waiting to be paired up.I know there are likely to be some singles left.
I never used to have a problem when the children were young. They knew that before putting socks into the wash basket they had to turn over the tops to loop them together as I would never wash odd single socks. No looping meant no washed socks. Once they started sometimes loading the machine, the system went downhill...

Gwyn,~~

Oh is responsible for his socks to be paired a rule made an era ago. ;-).......if there arent a pr in the wash then I dont root about for the other.......so a stray sock turing up weeks later joins the other in sock heaven,,,,,,,,I dont see how a pr of socks can end up parted........its a man thing, and I'm not a sock sitter, mind it hasnt happened often.

Once, 1 was discovered between base and mattress........go fathom...... :-D :-D :-D

Merlin Report 6 Jan 2013 13:35

So who steals these other socks? is there a market for them somewhere?or do the makers ensure that one of a pair disappears so that you have to but another lot.? then there,s poor Wend and Geordie longing for Teddy Boys and their DAs , Velvet Collars,Drainpipes and creepers. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D and probably "Big Bopper" ;-) ;-) ;-)
