I guessed at a few. And I knew Sheila and Gwynne would do well (Proffesionals, see). Wouldn't be surprised if average is less than 5 - as we are all quite good (I think).

So upset that SueCrutch has beaten me. :-( :-( :-( :-(

12 right. Got 13 and 14 wrong. Guessed 13 and didn't have a clue what gerund was. Never heard of it and never was good at prepositions.

It is a long time since I took my O level English & I cannot remember ever learning what an English gerund was, so got 14 wrong & 12

Year Six are last ones in junior (primary) school - so about 11 yo

Well it is a long time since I studied grammar at school Got a grade A at 'A' level for grammar combined with literature in the 70s when I was in my 30s but didn't ever hear of a gerund. Yes I have looked it up and know now. :-D
