Maybe if your parents and other older family members talked about your Grandfather thats why you can remember so much about him. |

Until reading threads like this I never realised how lucky I was. I have more photos than I can count of both parents, quite a lot of both sets of grandparents and photos of six of my Great Grandparents. I have a golden wedding photo of my maternal grandparents, a silver wedding photo of my paternal grandparents and a wedding photo of my paternal grandparents and my parents. |

I had been trying to find my maternal grandmother for over 20yrs. My mum never knew her as she was given away at birth.and father unknown. |

A number of years ago I was contacted through GR by a second cousin - I was thrilled. We shared paternal great grandparents and he knew more information than me regarding dates of birth and death. |

I think its partly through parents but I was almost 7 when my grandad left me he lived just around the corner it scares me that I can't remember his face. I was 4 when the uncle who lived with us passed away Iremember him ever so clearly has I do my great grandparents. Still waiting on a photo getting anxious now. |
