I know Dyffryn Ardudwy very well,Suzanne...my in laws had a guest house there called Bryntirion...the last big house before going out of the village on the way to Harlech.
Then they retired to Plas yn Dre next to the big bungalow which actually has a ballroom in it called Sarn Llys.
Lovely beach there.had some wonderful memories of times spent around that area.
My children went to school in Harlech. We lived in Barmouth.
If I lived near there now you could come for a cuppa, but a bit out of your way to near Colwyn Bay.

I love it there Suzanne and would welcome a cuppa - last time had a barbecue on the beach at Rhosneigr and then a pint at the posh new pub there by the pond.
Usually have an afternoon on the beach and then retire for a meal at Menai

Aaahh. Trearddur Bay. There are two lovely houses on the road up to the sailing club.

Detached houses called Hapusle and Swynyle.

Aahh! Memories. And Rhosneigr and body shaping. And Aberffraw. And the lovely estuary at Malltraeth. And the best beach in Wales at Llanddwyn (well, North Wales anyway - expect Rhosili would also have a shout if we included South Wales).

And now, what happened in Harlech, dear little one?

I now have to travel 4 times a wk to DYFFRYN ARDUDWY approx 5miles after HARLECH to do home visits(Im a nurse) a round trip of approx 130miles.
on the way back its very dark, long windy roads in the middle of nowhere and to make matters worse my mobile has no signal,i was wondering seeing its not far from your friend Robins house, would he mind if i dropped in for a cuppa or maybe stayed the night in his spare rm if im to scared to drive home in the dark(i will bring my own biccies) what do you think?? i will also try and be on my best behaviour. :-D

It would be great fun if you knocked on his door and introduced yourself. I actually know his address because he makes no secret of it.

Think it might be better to go up to him at the Eisteddfod in August (he wears gold and is over 6 ft tall), and ask him to sign my copy of his book "Second Class Citizen". And mention in passing that you do a long journey to Dyffryn Ardudwy (was there a Youth Hostel there?) 4 times a week and I am sure he will make you a cup of tea and give you the hospitality you seek. :-D :-D

Many congrats on new granddaughter, by the way. :-D
