Well, if he did get compensation I do hope they deducted the delivery fee plus the cost of B&B there and of course a donation to the wage of the warders who have to ensure he stays there. Then the matter of compensating his victims. :-|

After watching H.M prison Aylebury for the passed two weeks. I can't believe my eyes, what these "BOYS" 18/21 will do to get attention. I recon they should be put in a boot camp for 12 months, and get some respect drilled into them. Murderers, gangsters, drug barrons, burglars , they seem to think they can run our prison service, better than us.

When a burglar says after 70 arrests "I did nothing wrong" Has he been left traumerised after a thing like him has been through their house. NO of course not. But still he thinksd he's done nothing wrong.

I would take away all their "TOYS" and TVs etc, anf let them know why they are in PRISON.

I know this will offend some of you, thats not my intention, just my view.

Yes I suppose that could have been rather a naive of me. I was just amazed, that is all and genuinely thought that perhaps justice prevails. perhaps I am wrong :-(

You have to remember that there are not only prisoners in a prison. There are the staff who need to maintain some form of control which does involve more than a little psychology. It can't be done purely by brute force.

The reports in the press are wildly wrong.

OneFootInTheGrave Report 26 Feb 2013 12:19

I have never visited any of these places and I have no plans to visit them, mark you if any of the reports I have seen in the press are true, then in some of these establishments they appear to have a better standard of living than many people who are on the outside of them ;-)

I take it that you have never visited any of these places then nor have some idea of the way tiny things can blow up into a full scale riot.

Surely they would have to prove that he was being targeted and paying him anything would show that he had been.

OneFootInTheGrave Report 26 Feb 2013 11:35

An inmate at one of Britain's top security prisons was compensated because his newspaper was delivered late, it emerged yesterday.

The prisoner at Frankland jail, Durham, claimed he was being 'targeted' as other convicts got their papers on time.

The prisoner who complained about his late newspaper delivery is said to have received around £100 in compensation :-|
