What is the naughtiest thing you ever did at school?

GinN

GinN Report 16 Mar 2013 21:47

I once (accidently on purpose) turned on the fire hose in the gym - flooded it, so no PE lessons that day!

I don't believe it! Just that nobody wants to own up. I got away with my misdemeanor, by the way, cos I owned up to it and played the innocent!

When I was at junior school the teacher set up a display based on coal mining. It would never happen these days but back then, part of the display was some explosive gunpowder. My friend and I decided it would be a wheeze if we took a little bit to try it out. I carefully put it in an old bandaid tin (remember those?) and we sneaked it up to the top garden at home, armed with a trusty box of matches.
I struck a match (well, about 20 really) and touched the powder.
Nothing happened.
What was amiss?
This cannot be!
So I leaned over to check it out...

... and woof

No not the dog, it suddenly ignited.

We retired to our respective homes feigning total innocence.

The give away was when my mother asked why my face was black

I didn't need to do anything naughty :-D

I hated PE & Games, and all we were shown in RE were pictures of starving Biafrans. (must have been the cusp between teaching the bible & having to teach other religons, and the teacher had noooo idea)
I pointed out that, personally, I couldn't help the Biafrans, and didn't 'charity begin at home?' I wanted to volunteer at the local home for special needs children.
I was told to ask the head (known as 'The Pole' - he was over 6'6)

He was slightly gobsmacked - but allowed me.
So, I missed PE & RE one day and double games another :-D
Thoroughly enjoyed myself (in between the tears and frustration for the children) and carried on after I'd left school

AND I found the head of volunteer services had the same surname!
(only just over 400 of us had it in the country)
He was my grandad's (dad's stepdad's) nephew.
No need to misbehave at school - too busy!

So started school volunteering in Hampshire.

Found out in February, that, after I'd left,(moved to Shetland) one of my brothers regularly went up there!!

I didn't need to do anything wrong/naughty at School, I had two older brothers, Both rogues so it didn't matter what ever happened i got the blame anyway, I got the stick most days although i do remember going a full 6 weeks without, Ooooops sorry just remembered that was the 6 weeks holiday,

The things i did do i never got caught like letting the head masters tyres down once a month or the times when i used to lock the classroom door from the inside then jump out the window run round the block and join the queue outside waiting for the teacher to figure out how come the door locked itself whilst waiting for the caretaker to turn up with a ladder and the time when i made some home made bangers hidden under the heads chair in assembly and set them off using wire wool and a battery connected to an old clock.

Roy

Edit, All of my antics was as far as i'm concerned pay back for getting the blame for things i never did and the ones Ive listed is just a sample

Not actually in school but on my way with my friend we both stole an apple. I spent the morning opening my desk and looking at it. At lunch time I went back to the shop and put it back. Years later my Aunt told me the shop told her they saw me take it...... and put it back. My friend ate hers!

:-)

We used to eat school dinner at tables of eight with the person at the head dishing out the dessert.
One pudding was a sponge with a sprinkling of caster sugar on top. Before taking the unused portions back, I shook the salt over it.

:-0 :-D
