Is that quivering or shivering Sue, or both.

Hope you haven't left anything behind that you'll need. If you have could you hire a replacement whatever? :-)

Kay???? Report 27 Mar 2013 12:47

Just take some time to relax even though you are busy,,,,,,there is enough time to go over things to see if theres something else you need or stock plie.

Fags ,Bloomers,Vests,reading matter,battries,charger...... ;-) :-D.

PricklyHolly Report 27 Mar 2013 13:23

Good luck with the operation Sue.

And all good wishes for a full and speedy recovery.

Rambling Rose Report 27 Mar 2013 14:25

Good luck Sue! Don't forget your 'picker upper' :-D

10th was my mums birthday so I hope that's a good omen!

supercrutch Report 27 Mar 2013 15:00

Thanks girls :-D I have my picker upper here. I have to wash and bring back the satin bottom sheet ready for being discharged.

The only way I can get into the bed initially is to wear satin PJ bottoms and slide across the bed... that's what I did last time.

I brought the amazing leg lift assist back which the OT from Caerphilly CC gave me on her visit.

Should they offer me another 'sock aid' they can shove that ;-)

I have two crutches here so I have to practise getting around with those to make sure nothing is in the way. Furniture can be moved around temporarily. I have my own over the bed hospital thingy and the sofa is on risers anyway.

Going to buy a heap of face cloths to use as hand towels so nurses each get a clean one and they are easy to boil wash and dry.

As things come to mind I have to write them down or else they drop out of my brain very quickly....lolol

Anyway, thanks again.

Sue (quivering with nerves at the coast)

Mersey Report 27 Mar 2013 15:37

Just think Sue you may be quivering on the coast now but you will be skipping there before you know it :-D :-D <3

AnnCardiff Report 27 Mar 2013 15:44

and when it's all over we could have a "burning of the crutch" party with a bonfire :-D

AnnCardiff Report 3 Apr 2013 20:22

time is getting closer and poor Sue is bricking it - keep her in your thoughts folks

Wend Report 3 Apr 2013 20:29

She's very much in my thoughts and I love the idea of a 'burning of the crutch' party :-D

AnnCardiff Report 3 Apr 2013 20:33

could be painful you know ;-)

Mersey Report 3 Apr 2013 20:34

Always <3

Paula+ Report 3 Apr 2013 20:43

Sending lots of positive thoughts to Sue for good days ahead.

AnnCardiff Report 3 Apr 2013 21:04

I had a nasty problem with a crutch once - I slipped getting out of the bath :-D

supercrutch Report 3 Apr 2013 21:10

Thanks all, yes I am a quivering bleedin' wreck, by next week I shall resemble a rather large jelly :-(

Just how do they saw through your thigh bone and wire it back together so you can stand on it?

I'm considering asking for more sedative to go with the epidural..lolol I can cope with the sawing and hammering (had that before) but if I caught a glimpse of them waving half my leg about I think that would be a little too much even for me.

**Ann** Report 3 Apr 2013 21:18

Good luck Sue, for the extra sedative just slip a bottle under the theatre gown!

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 3 Apr 2013 22:25

I'm quivering just reading your last post. :-0

supercrutch Report 3 Apr 2013 22:51

Suzanne Report 3 Apr 2013 22:55

Eeyore13 Report 3 Apr 2013 22:58
