Sylvia,,

I kept getting different ads for clothes, retirement,+ holidays and it got on my nerves.
I do use GR za and at first it was great,,,no ads nothing..

Just realised that GR changed Monday last as thats when the ads started..

It's fixed now and no more ads thanks to Rollo... :-D :-D

I have only one ad showing across the top of the screen. It changes occasionally, but none of them flash or move or distract.

Currently, it is for the Retirement Directory.co.uk

Your online guide to retirement

Not much use to me ...... but it is small and I hardly notice it

I use AdBlock all the time :-D

can't beat it

Just install AdBlock (free) then practically no ads at all on GenesRU or anywhere else.

Neither can I But that wasn't helped by a) forgetting how I did it last time b) forgetting my password and c) windows configuring in the middle of my confusion without warning :-S

Ann~~~ I think I will give that a bash

Susan ~~~that's why I rarely watch tv unless it's the Beeb...I haven't got any of the fancy gadgets that let you avoid the ads. I quite liked the American crime program mes but got frustrated by the amount of advertising and then repitition that followed

You two night owls are up late :-)

Susan10146857 Report 11 Apr 2013 02:51

Lol Lolly...it's amazing what sleeplessness will do to ones ideas of triviality.

I dislike all adverts on Tv especially those on Sky where they are advertising programmes....sheesh.....over and over and over again....the same adverts!

Edit....the lack of sleep has made me mis- read the OP......

I don't like the adverts on GR they get in the way of my eye site :-D
