Sharron

Sharron Report 19 Apr 2013 19:59

So he has carried out his civic duty and we have a pile of clean tablecloths. They need to be back at the church hall but, of course,he doesn't have a key and I don't want him crossing the main road unnecessarily, so I have suggested that Fred and his mate take them up the road to one of the churchwardens tomorrow.

He said he wouldn't do it, I said he would and he had a sulk.

It turns out that he still thinks I can't organize a beer up in a brewery and he can't carry the tablecloths all that way on his wheelchair. His mate will be with him, on his pushbike, and he has been known to cycle home with a weeks shopping.

Would you really want one as silly as me to be writing a book for the benefit of others?

A poor, disabled old man is being cruelly exploited and you think it would bring a ray of sunshine.

Shame on you!

He is downstairs beavering away at his official duties in a very important manner.

No doubt he will be expecting to have a chain of office for official occasions.

I don't suppose I would be allowed to now he is a civil dignitry, village tablecloth monitor.

He is probably covered by the official secrets act or something.

I like tinned peas & the skin on custard & milk puddings. I like tinned carrots too.
No accounting for taste.
Sharron, have you thought of writing a book about FredĀ“s adventures in your spare time?

I only like tinned marrowfat peas.

I've also never discriminated for or against 'skin' on blancmange etc - just part of the deal :-D

Love the skin - always tried to get it at school dinners unless someone else got to it first

Skin on custard / blancmange disgusting.!
At head of the table in comp I always asked if some wanted it..some did, but when there were no takers I always took it off before passing it to to the rest of my fellow diners.

Sharron Report 18 Apr 2013 23:01

If I was your mother I would not have even let you know that blancmange, custard and milk puddings had a skin. That would have been all mine.

You don't realize how good bread and butter tastes until you grow up and eat it from choice.

The crusts probably don't give you white hair and curly teeth either.
