So disappointed the series is finished, enjoyable viewing
and hope they will start another series.

maggiewinchester Report 6 May 2013 10:00

Do you realise, the reporter, Dorothea Frazil is played by Abigail Thaw, John Thaw's daughter, from his first marriage?

K Report 6 May 2013 09:12

Enjoyed it more than Morse :-)

Lyndi Report 6 May 2013 08:50

Brilliant!! Wonder if they will take this further? :-)

Cynthia Report 6 May 2013 08:20

We record it because we usually have a visitor on Sunday evenings.

As with everyone else, we were massive Morse fans and were uncertain as to how both the Lewis and the Endeavour series would be handled.

We love them both................ :-D

This actor has obviously studied the Morse series very intently in order to get those little mannerisms right.

Well done to all concerned. :-)

MotownGal Report 6 May 2013 07:39

I think last nights episode tied things up nicely.

Max is cantakerouse, as he is in later life.

Strange is taking his Sergeants exam.

Morse has an accident that makes him limp in later life, so now we know how it happened.

I like the little touches by the actor playing Morse. Him running his finger around the edge of his collar.

Morse used to do that all the time when he was thinking...............

:-) :-) :-)

Jean Report 23 Apr 2013 00:10

I watched for the first time last night, having lost the plot with The Village. I loved it, and the music was great :-D :-D

MotownGal Report 22 Apr 2013 17:59

I watched the pilot for the show, and am watching the series.

I think it is working really well, also they are including a young Max the pathologist and Strange, calling everyone matey.

Did you realise that John Thaw's daughter is the editor of the local newspaper?

Nice touches being added to keep the memory of Morse alive.

:-) :-) :-)

maggiewinchester Report 22 Apr 2013 17:50

Agree with Viv :-D

VIVinHERTS Report 22 Apr 2013 17:46

Best thing on television at the moment!

Lyndi Report 22 Apr 2013 16:05

Like Paula, I think the casting has been brilliant :-)

DazedConfused Report 22 Apr 2013 15:55

Really enjoy it - even if he is nothing like Morse would have been as a young man.

He even looks taller than Morse!!!!

But enjoyable - but me I love a detective story

And Roger Allam as Fred Thursday is fantastic

CupCakes Report 22 Apr 2013 14:10

Just love it .....

RolloTheRed Report 22 Apr 2013 14:07

Brilliant !

Paula+ Report 22 Apr 2013 13:33

II was a big Morse fan so was initially unsure about Endeavour, but I am really enjoying it. Casting has been excellent so far, lots of little Morse type gestures and mannerisms and of course the music.

Lyndi Report 22 Apr 2013 13:24

Shame it is only four episodes, but they are two hours each :-)

GoldenGirl1 Report 22 Apr 2013 13:21

Yes I am watching it and really enjoying it, the music
last night was fantastic some of my favourite opera

Emma :-)

Merlin Report 22 Apr 2013 13:21

Watched the Pilot and it was reasonable, but the other seems to be pretty good, looking forward to the next episode. :-D

Lyndi Report 22 Apr 2013 13:18

Is anybody else watching this on Sunday evenings (ITV).
I don't remember watching the pilot and I thought twice about watching the series. I loved Morse and prequels are sometimes a letdown.
I am really enjoying the series though :-)
