Nolls from Harrogate

Nolls from Harrogate Report 28 Apr 2013 17:21

As teens looking for boyfriends Mum would say "Whats for you won't go by you" I say it now to my family and if you asked her where something was it was "Saw a little doggie eating something" (so annoying) ....Oh! and if you were late for something she would say "Aye like the coos tail aye behind"

"Do you think that I came up the Clyde on a banana boat"
Was one of my Irish mum's sayings, just to let us know she couldn't be fooled.

We used to laugh at her behind her back because she certainly did come up the Clyde on a boat.. except that she arrived on the old Derry Boat !

Lol @ AnnC,

I don't eat most of my crusts, but still have curly hair.

Hated the curls...perhaps that why I didn't eat the the crusts.I don't know !

Dau's hair is very wavy, she hates it and straightens it and she never eats any of the crusts she has toast for breakfast .
I use then as croƻtons in my morning soup ;-)

Similar to GlasgowLass .... my Dad used to say "do you think I came up the river on a bike".

Mum "stand still while I hit you" ..... as if ;-)
