It seems there was a disturbance on board. It's now landed safely.

Yes, it has landed safely and the crew and passengers have now all disembarked, it was originally due to land at Manchester, but as a result of an incident which seems to be related to a disturbance between several passengers, it was diverted to Stanstead. Retorts are saying two people have been arrested.

Seems Stanstead is one of the airports designated to deal with this type of incident.

I did check in at Stansted a few years ago and yes it is designed for hi-jacking etc. Harlow police station is where any arrested would be taken, Glad all is ok now though.

My son was in Essex police and when a previous suspect plane was diverted to Stansted he had to go on board to check it out, not knowing what he might be faced with.
