Stayed near Telford, Errol, but what I remember most is Ironbridge Gorge. Wonderful place, and full of living museums. :-) |

The centre itself is really only the shopping centre ( which I'm not fond of) and nice park, there is lots going on at the moment as the area by the park is being re-developed, the library has been knocked down and building is going apace, new library, council offices, shops, cinema hotel etc. |

Remember a thread not so long back about Telford. Where is the centre, someone asked? |

The first time I saw the road sign for Telford was on the way home to Kent from a holiday in Wales, it was also the 2nd , 3rd, and 4th time, as the driver of the car just could not find a way out of the area lol. Not surprising really as I don't think I know of another (relatively small) place that has so many roundabouts. |

Want roundabouts, Rose? Try Milton Keynes, lol! :-D :-D |

GiN. The difference with Milton Keynes is that it is designed as a grid. Horizontals (H roads) and Verticals (V roads). And each time they meet it has to be a flyover or roundabout. I always thought it was an amazingly good piece of traffic planning. Must look great from the air. |

I visited Ironbridge and Bridgnorth when I was in England in 1997. I presume we also went through Telford. |
