My everlasting memory of dunking a biscuit was at Easter many moons ago.

Having a cup of tea with my sister and my future husband, I dunked a biscuit in my tea and it disappeared into the bottom of my cup. They roared with laughter and I was so infuriated that I picked up the beautiful dark chocolate Easter egg decorated with purple icing that he had bought me and hurled it at the wall !
Never mind it was still edible ! :-D
