Sharron

Sharron Report 22 Jul 2013 16:57

If I am careful we might be able to have a day out tomorrow.

OH and I are considering going to Wales.
We generally go to that cheap shop in Caerphilly, which I know doesn't make it very cheap but it is a day away from here.

Anybody about?

Hope it's cooler in Wales, Sharron!

I'm going to London for the day to meet up with my oldest friend - must be mad, the heat will be worse in London! And, no, I'm not going to join the crowds outside Buckingham Palace!

Wend Report 22 Jul 2013 17:23

Sorry Sharron - I'm meeting up with friends for lunch at Highdown Gardens tomorrow and that's my limit for travelling in this hot weather. Mind you, the forecast isn't looking good - thunderstorms and rain, so lunch could well be a wet one!.

I'm sure there are a few members in Wales who would be delighted to meet you if they're around ;-)

Caerphilly just up the road from me Sharron - cheap shop - which one?

You're more than welcome to call in for a cuppa - I'm just off Jct 32 of M4 - you'd have to get off the M4 at that one to get to Caerphilly - let me know if you want a cuppa and I'll give you my address!!! :-)

That is very kind Ann.

It is the one by the Green Lady, are there more and better?

Ask those who have already met me, I am worse than you imagine. Wend will tell you.

It's expensive to get into Wales these days Sharron.
They want £6.20 on the toll bridge..... but it's free to leave Wales.

We went 2 weeks ago to meet friends in Swansea and I loved being back there.
...must go again soon and stay longer.

Enjoy your visit.

PS..To Ann
Sharron is OK and good company......

We went down the side of the Severn from Monmouth ( I think) last time.

That way we get to see a bit of different countryside and get in for nothing.

What about fred?

Sharron

Sharron Report 22 Jul 2013 23:17

Oh, I will leave him a glass of water and some margerine sandwiches.

Or were you wondering which route he takes?

What is the toll for a wheelchair on the Severn Bridge?

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 22 Jul 2013 23:32

No footpaths on the new bridge, but he could travel across the old one free...or you could tow him across the new one... No extra charge for towing.

He'd need more than a margarine sandwich to power it that far though. He might need to find a sausage sandwich refuelling cafe.

I don't care. I won't be there.

Really! You would think I was a carer or something.
