CrystalTips. Many thanks for your concern about the state of my health. You will be pleased to learn that I was totally calm through those exchanges. My "friends" on Genes are all unknown to me and I cannot get too upset if somebody sat in Weston-super-Mare or Lanark or Croydon decides I am being totally unfair in asking an Opening Poster (of two threads that had gone dormant before I picked them up) why he put them up in the first place.

I think I know - 1. was a bit of fun about the strange use of "mild language" 2. was an attempt to bait in a racist way. But I may have got it totally wrong. It may have been very innocent to get hold of an old story like that. I would rather he admitted why he posted them than kept skipping away from responding.

AnnC That was my immediate thought when I saw the post about this bilingual mistake which was in the papers 6 or 7 years ago. Why else then?

don't be so ridiculous - I'm Welsh, which you are most definitely not, and I certainly didn't find it offensive or racist in any way at all - it was funny and I for one hadn't seen it before

anyone slags the Welsh off and I'm there to defend us, and I'd feel exactly the same about racist comments regarding the English, Scots and Irish, so come down off your oh so high horse and live in the real world

You're welcome to borrow my halo (it's never been on my avatar, it's kept in a secret place) I won't be needing it if I've been RR'd. It's been well looked after in all my years on GR, just woosh it back to me when I feel like I can be a good girl and keep my mouth shut. Oh well, you may as well keep it ;-)
