Unfortunately Elizabeth there are still charges for some "extras" even with Platinum, and Madge is right this might work but I wouldn't hold your breath....

I have just joined Genes Reunited Platingham and tried to reach customer services as I am getting no help from them I thought when I joined that I would have access to all their records but it keeps asking me for money to look I wish I had never joined I need to contact them to tell them I don’t want to pay for another year after this as it has been useless to me and I paid £75 Elizabeth Manning

I just want to cancel my. Next subscription in a year s time as I think they will just charge me they are good at taking your money and then just ignoring your questions I will warn everyone keep away don’t wast your money try a different sight like Ancestry Elizabeth Mannjng :

Elizabeth- click on ‘My account’ at the top of the page. Untick ‘auto renew’.
You’ll need to keep checking as your renewal date approaches as it has a tendency to revert.

These people are utter clowns, I tried contacting them about a missing email receipt and they only deliver support by email, in desperation I used their facebook page to communicate with them, They told me repeatedly they had send and resent the emails, offering only the childish suggestion of check your junk folders. Over the course of a week I emailed them about 30 times and claimed to have got none, they claimed to have sent loads. In desperation I called findmy pasts number and they emailed me a copy it arrived in minutes of me calling. To prevent me asking for TS they eventually blocked me from adding facebook comments. Have cancelled my subscription now.

I am aware this is an old post but I have sent numerous emails asking to cancel and be refunded as am still within the cooling off period.
Is there a phone number?
The one above doesn’t work!

Contact with Genes is very slow - they certainly don't work over weekends.

Make sure you go into your account details and make sure the automatic renewal is turned off.

Try emailing again at [email protected] again.

For info they are now part of the Find My Past group. Some people have more luck contacting them via twitter which I think is appalling customer service.

You could try going via Findmypast. There is a phone number given on their site. GenesReunited is run by FMP..
