When I'm with you I'm confused
Out of focus and bemused
And I never know exactly where I am
Unpredictable as weather
You're as flighty as a feather
And you always throw your toys out of the pram.

:-D

Wend, you know about these things.

You know when it says prick out every nine inches on the packet. How do you manage?

Bloody postman wasn't helpful at all!

Wend

Wend Report 11 Apr 2014 21:01

Ahem, if you could tell me exactly what you are talking about Sharron, I may be able to help :-D

How on earth do you find time to prick out with so much on your plate at the moment? :-0

. . . and I'm not talking about your nosebag.

Sharron

Sharron Report 11 Apr 2014 22:16

Actually Wend, most of my time is spent feeling totally helpless and wishing there was something I could do.

I am also doing some tiny little patchwork to keep my mind occupied.

There are things sprouting in my propagator on the window sill.

Wend

Wend Report 11 Apr 2014 22:51

Things??? Ah, are you talking about sprouts?

Sharron

Sharron Report 11 Apr 2014 22:54

Asparagus peas, electric daisies, tomatillos.

Wend Report 12 Apr 2014 12:04

Trust Sharron to have something 'different' that I know nothing about. I've now goggled them and want them :-D

. . . although I don't really need the 'Toothache Plant' :-D

Island

Island Report 12 Apr 2014 12:16

I had a busy day in the garden yesterday Wend. Got the runners beans sowed - are those you gave me 'Wisley'? Gave the broad beans an airing. The boys had a tidy round. We're a long way off opening to the public though LOL.

I've got a mystery herb/spice - only a mystery to me though I 'spect :-D

Wend

Wend Report 12 Apr 2014 12:59

'Wisley Magic' Island. I'm going to sow mine to-day. Send me a pic of your mystery herb. Did you ever find out what the mystery yellow-flowered plant is?

Island

Island Report 12 Apr 2014 13:44

Will do Wend. No, I still haven't identified that yellow flower - or found my RHS book to have a looksie. I kept thinking I'd found it on line but something would dash me hopes. Strange that just one stem came up :-S

There was a little tree behind our shed which Fred must have planted as a shrub.

It had beautiful grey foliage, tiny yellow flowers which smelled wonderful and a goldcrest lived in it. The trunk leaned and the cats would use it to get on the shed to come indoors.

I loved that tree and asked the man designing the wet room to see if he could accommodate it so I didn't lose it.

Fred made his mate cut the tree down!

It would be lovely to have another but I have no idea what it was and Fred can't tell me. Goddammit!
