thank you everyone they put in another dont no eve i spell this right another dia alestr which too 4 hours if its not its not going right ,tomorrow they are going to take it out of his gronin and put it in his shoulder,and he can pass water but not anything think as ,so its going to take 6 hours,but its being along all the time i dont speak dutch ,so when i come back from Jan im on my own
soneone and why yo i cofe i have had that and snessing for 3 months,but Jan said the hospital has taken halk of his medicean from him and they phoned the chemest but case the docter said he had lung problem ,which he never it was kidney,my grandaughter was going to come over as she was worryed about me but it was 300 pound ,and she could,nt afourd i said if i had i would pay,so one of my eldes sons is going to help i hope its another but 3 days she will be gone as 3 children have to go to school ,and her and her hubby work ,so fingers crosed ,i,ll get the money for her to come ,going into morry so see jan and i will let you know how he is getting on,and thank you im going to try and sleep noexx

Hi Joyce, sorry our chat was short last evening. Hope you are getting some sleep and will have better news tomorrow.

Joyce told me Jan is having dialysis through a line in his groin but it may be moved today to his shoulder. She is spending time with Jan when her s.i.l. takes her and will be having help come in to assist her morning and evenings but not last night, hence her being up so late I expect.

Seems the doc when he came in said Jan's lungs were the problem but obviously missed the problem with his kidneys. Thank goodness Jan was taken to hospital so they could help him properly. Joyce says she is crying a lot, which is understandable, but hopefully she will feel stronger as she sees Jan getting good treatment and will cope ok. It would be great if someone from her family went over to give her some support even if only for a couple of days or so.

Poor Jan, life doesn't get any easier for him or Joyce,does it? He's such a nice man.


I am hoping to talk with Joyce again later today so will update this if I do.

Come on Joyce, stay strong, eat properly and stay as well as you can for Jan, so he doesn't fret about you as well.

Thanks Liz for the update, she was in such a state yesterday and could'bt get hold of the hospital, and they did'nt understand her! She thought he was going to have dialysis.So pleased you spoke to her, you have better info to put on here :-) :-)
Yes its a real shame no one from the UK can visit her, this is when she really needs the help, she's always there for everyone else.

Dutch and Jan thinking of you....I was in West Derby
yesterday, and you came to mind :-D :-D ;-) <3 <3

I have had the nures the smorning to wash and dress me ,and then another nurse to night to put me in bed but last night the vein in one of my legs went realy being fall cant remember how you call it ,but nearly fall of the bed Jans brother and his wife are taking me there for tea as i wont eat dont have the thought about eating ,will there making sure i do now
and on fried im having both legs in banages but i cannot pronore the work well eash the oder nurse ,but i miss having nobody here to talk to at night,im hoping my grandaughter gets the money to come over for the weekend that will help abit ,anyway will put on later to night how Jan is getting on it is dialyis and all so driep

Joyce, glad to know that you are having the nurses to come in twice a day, to wash and dress you and put you to bed at night.

I hope you will find an improvement in Jan when you visit him today, he is now in the right place to get what treatment he needs, so hopefully it won't be long before he is home with you again.
As Liz said, Jan is such a nice person.......let's hope that things will get better for both of you from now on. <3


It would be nice if your granddaughter could come over to give you a bit of support, even if it's only it's only for a few days.


Please give our love and get well wishes to Jan and tell him we are thinking about him.

Still thinking of you both Joyce. It is good that Jan is in the best place for treatment. I hope that you ate something when you went to your sister in laws. And good that the nuirses are helping. Stay strong Joyce we are here to listen to you. <3 <3

I told Joyce that she has to make an effort to eat even when alone at home as it won't help her diabetes and health and she will end up in hospital as well. I know she probably doesn't feel up to eating but she must try hard. I am glad the family are helping with her meals.

Will try and talk with her later and find out more news

Hello Dutch.
I do hope Jan is soon feeling better. As others have said on here, he is in the right place and being looked after. You need also to take care of yourself and try and eat and get plenty of rest. I know it will be so hard for you when you are worrying about Jan, but you don't want to end up poorly yourself. Try and stay strong and I hope a relative can get to stay with you for a few days. Love to you both xx

I couldn't get hold of Joyce last evening but will try to make contact later today and if there is further news I will put it on here.

I know Joyce was going to her b.i.l's for tea so maybe she went to bed when she got in and was asleep.
