Yin/Yang?

I get mine sorted on Tuesdays :-D

True! I live in Hippyville. See my thread about mugwort

:-(

My Yin is OK, but my yang is bent.

Allan Report 18 Jul 2014 00:20

Persie, it wasn't a story as such.

I was on Mersey's happy thread being my usual grumpy self. I'd also just received some bad news about a friend's health, which I said was a chink in my armour.

I then made reference to Ying and Yang (more correctly yin-yang) and no doubt you can put two and two together come up with five, and a possible racist slur.

The posts were reinstated ;-) :-D :-D :-D

And as for fortune and as for fame
You never invited them in
Though it seemed to RRer
They were what you desired
They are illusions
They're not the solutions
They promise to be
The answer was here all the time
You'll stay on the boards
What will be will be.

Jem, I believe that dragons also have a Chinese affinity. They represent wealth and power :-D :-D :-D

I should also mention at this point that my sister in law is Chinese, and still returns there frequently to visit her family, who are wealthy

In also know a joke about three ladies in China who were asked by their father about the type of men they would like to marry. I'm pretty sure that dragons were involved somewhere ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D

Mersey, to be serious for a minute (and the time starts now! ;-))

I know that I have a weird sense of humour, also a wide vocabulary, particular after spending 14 years in the Army Reserve and 5 years working at the Fish Docks in Grimsby, but amazingly from a very early age, my parents taught me to exercise my judgement and to know when certain actions are appropriate, or inappropriate.

I believe that I have also taught my two children the same thing, so I do actually find it demeaning when a third party tries to exercise that judgement on my behalf.

I have posted things on the Boards that some people have had a gripe with, but they have sent me a pm: post removed, no problem.

But, hey ho.......... :-S (30 seconds :-D :-D :-D)

Allan smiles will always win....we had a good laugh with GP, now you have impressed him so much he too wants to be a Humbug :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 17 Jul 2014 22:42

Thanks, Mr_M :-)

Mersey, no doubt the RR'r will also have to Google (not a pretty sight ;-) :-) :-)) but even then I doubt that they will grasp what I mean.

Now, if the person is a fan of Terry Prattchett, then they will know right away, but I don't think that anyone who enjoys his books would have such a small mind :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Bob, I certainly don't cry Wolf, and I wont let a poor excuse for a person hound me from the Boards,

I have been RR'd before, once for a limerick (about limericks) which did not contain anything untoward unless you don't like the English words 'virgins' and 'erotic', but I let it slide, as I did when I was reported for using the word Vaseline, which by the way is in the dictionary.

However, when someone chooses to use anthropomorphic personification to convert the philosophical principles of ying and yang into objects of racial vilification, I draw the line ;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D
