If someone is considering visiting for the first time, it should be well worth the effort.

La Gooner and I were grateful recipients of tickets when the show was in London. Although its too far for us to travel, the location should make it easier for others.

Enjoy!

What DetEcTive said.

Just don't forget to get Carol & Ron their cup of tea!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 19 Mar 2015 09:48

Definitely worth going. A cup of tea or two for Carol and Ron is always welcomed as they are always so busy <3.

Birmingham is not too far from me here but other commitments might get in the way :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Not many interested, I wonder if it's because they have moved it to Birmingham, I think it's being held at the NEC next year as well.

Is it ever held in the Newcastle/Durham area?

JoyBoroAngel

This is the first year I've seen it held outside of London. There may have been smaller events around the country.
County/Regional family history societies used to (still do?) organise Fairs locally but don't necessarily attract so many exhibitors.

If you sent them an email, they could probably let you know if one is in the pipe-line.

When Carol comes back to the thread, she may have a list of dates and places closer to where you live.

I hope to go over at some point. I haven't been since it was at Stoneleigh years ago.

I can't understand why no one wants the freebie.
Last years freebie was an open one day ticket. So I could decide at the last minute which day I was going.
I was so glad I had gone as I found a very special picture in a book for sale.

I wonder why in this free draw I did not get any tickets although I was the first to express an interest on this thread.

I do hope it adheres to the rules and regulations about holding free draws!

Well done to those who "won" tickets.
