Grandson has been in Croatia for a week and got near the top in all his categories but today he and 2 team-mates have taken the GOLD medal in the cadet team event, beating Russia in the final. It was streamed live so I watched it. The three boys in the GB team were so calm during a very close match but I was a nervous wreck! GB has done really well in the medals table. |

Thank you for your congratulations everyone. I watched the award ceremony. Seeing J and his two team mates climb the rostrum and receive their medals, the union flag being raised and the national anthem played was a real lump-in-the-throat moment. |
