Thank you everyone for your kind words

No evidence of Robin Hood in the family tree Caroline, but I learnt only yesterday that a direct ancestor apparently stabbed his wife.......with an arrow perhaps?

Don't you just love people who say "I told you so"? But you did tell me that he would go far Bob and you were right.

As well as archery, J is at a rugby academy 4 days a week. They don't seem a good combination of sports to me. I am terrified that he will get injured but the staff are very good and he has been told to do the written work and the fitness training but not to take part in any contact games.

Grandson has been in Croatia for a week and got near the top in all his categories but today he and 2 team-mates have taken the GOLD medal in the cadet team event, beating Russia in the final. It was streamed live so I watched it. The three boys in the GB team were so calm during a very close match but I was a nervous wreck! GB has done really well in the medals table.

Going to watch the awards ceremony in a moment. It is also being streamed live and I have got to see my boy collect his bling :-D

Thank you for your congratulations everyone. I watched the award ceremony. Seeing J and his two team mates climb the rostrum and receive their medals, the union flag being raised and the national anthem played was a real lump-in-the-throat moment.

Thank you again for your kind words
