	Lyn, a happy new year to you, to J and to all your family. <3 I bet you had a lovely surprise when your grandson turned up. They're the kinds of surprises that light up a day. :-D We did enjoy the party, thank you. Someone nearby had fireworks so we watched. We had plenty to eat, drink, lots of various types of music and dancing and ended the night playing riotous games - boys versus girls. :-S you ladies will be pleased with the outcome. :-D We walked home (about seven or eight minutes) and what a lovely, dry, crisp night it was. Icy puddles, a little frost and taxis dashing along with revellers. :-D There were still lights on in some houses when we walked home. :-S some hardy folk still celebrating methinks. :-D :-D :-D

	We were half expecting him, Joy :-D - His girlfriend lives in the village, and our daughter said he'd probably turn up :-D :-D There were fireworks somewhere in the village, but we watched the very spectacular ones along the Thames on the telly :-D New Years Day always seems so flat - an anticlimax to the Christmas festivities :-)

	Bye Fly :-D <3 I'm just trying to work up some enthusiasm for the last of the turkey soup :-0 It's very nice, but I fancy something different :-D We'll be having a cheesefest for tea - that's more like it ;-)

	I'm off to shower and change then back to put the roast in and a special treat for some of us I am going to make a panettone bread-and-butter pudding. :-) Bye for now ~~~~~~~~~~

	Happy New Year to you, lilybids :-D :-D <3 <3 Joy - we were going to have a roast beef dinner, but decided to have that on Sunday instead :-D J has taken Grandson home, so we're all on out Tod again :-D Enjoy your dinner - a panettone bread and butter pudding sounds yummy ;-)
