Miserably rainy here and it's got worse during the last hour or so. One redeeming feature of the weather is that it's warm. :-)

Good day today, though, as Granddaughter is coming across. So what with the oldest one and the youngest one we should have a good day. Our middle grandchild, who lives a little further away is with his other grandmother but, hopefully, will see him for lunch and/or day out later this week.

We are lucky in that the three of them rub along quite nicely so never any arguments to sort out; probably because there are a few years between each of them. <3

Mersey, have a great day with your nephews. I always find children great,fun - more so when you can hand them back :-D :-0 :-D There'll be no taking them into the Irish pub opposite Lime St Station though - something we always enjoyed - because we've hear that it has closed :-( :-( :-0 We'll be there later this month with cousins after a funeral so I hope it's not true. :-0

We plan to go to the Dales Ponies Exhibition at Bowes Museum on Wednesday and also to visit the gluten-free fish-and-chip shop so K can have the same as us. <3

(Just thought I'd give a heads-up about the exhibition in case anyone else thinks it might be worth a trip.)

Lousy here today again and just back from
Rheumatologist check up. :-)

Now waiting for GP to phone me as think I may have Shingles again :-0

Poor you - commiserations.

I hope your rheumatology appointment was helpful.

I had shingles once, several years ago, and the doc told me - by the time I rang him - not to come to the surgery as I reported to him too late to be able to give me anything.

I decided to use ice cubes wrapped in a flannel to help ease the itch. It was a bugger to desist from scratching but I thought the ice cubes plus a few applications of Savlon worked pretty well for me - got rid in two weeks, but I suppose it depends where your shingles are. :-(

Emma, I hope your week improves and that your shingles has been caught in time for the doc to treat. If not, try ice cubes to help stop you itching.

Is OH on hand to administer to your every need <3 :-D

Off to get showered and ready to pick up Gdtr from bus stop to save her a 25-minute walk (well, 15 or 20 minutes at her pace) in this horrible rain. It'll be a surprise for her as she is a terrific walker, even in wet weather. <3

awful start to the day - phone rang before nine - I was unconscious - daughter in law asking if I could pop up her house as my son has sneezed and put his back out - went up there to find him in agony - he was convulsed in pain and not a happy bunny - he's a glass half empty most of the time anyway - I reckoned he'd pulled his muscles - emergency appointment at the quacks and it was confirmed - he has pulled the muscles in his back and stomach - got pain relief now and hopefully will settle down
