My Granfather died in Welwgn Garden city Herts. His wife was Dorothy marschell [ Wood

My granfather spoke like he was from the S outh East. Although he spoke of Yorkshire as if he had family from there. Like I have metioned he never spoke of his pass to anyone

Alfred would have been very young to be a cabin boy if he was born in 1905

He seems to have added the name Edmund as there's no Alfred Edmund Hudson birth on the gro records

He is quite specific about his birthdate

But it does all seem to point back to the Alfred Julian with father Charles a baker on the 1911 census But that one was Charles Harrison Hudson not Charles Alfred

Perhaps as he was so much older then Dorothy he adjusted his age !!
