	We were back home in 1954 Jem, cos dad had finished with the army then :-D Very sad Joy....I would hate to have to live through what our ancestors suffered :-( :-(

	They were still fighting when I was born. I have an uncle buried there in a war grave - the youngest child of the family.

	It was Joy, in fact I was watching the Yesterday channel, there was a programme on about the war featuring Rudolph Hoss and his involvement :-(

	The book is about the titled two people who's lives sort of run parallel..born in the same area around the same time.......Rudolph Hoss was in the end hunted down as a war criminal by Hans...who had escaped persecution by fleeing to the UK before war broke out :-)
