Hello to all still lurking :-D :-D <3 <3

We all enjoyed our meal and drink at the village pub, and the landlady did us proud, seeing as she only had a tiny kitchen :-D <3

Sorry to the football fans who had come in to watch the match - tough!!! :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

Jem, we both had a car when we worked and kept them both for about eighteen months when one needed to have an MOT. We'd started to use our bus passes by then so sold that car and kept the newer one which we've since updated twice.

Added to that, we have a good selection of shops within walking distance - Sainsbury, M & S, Asda, Lidl and all the other shops you find alongside them.

You're right though, bus fares and train fares are astronomical but it's really good once you have a bus pass.

It depends where we're going whether we use the car or take the bus.

Hello Robert. Thank you for clarifying that. :-D

I rarely watch sport so usually I haven't a clue who's doing what! :-D

OH, children and I all played different sports in our younger years though so I do know how much training goes on behind the scenes.

It's ok I suppose Joy. I don't really use it now though, cos I have been driving the last 12 years or so.

We were without a car for a while a few years ago, and it was very very expensive!

I live about 2 and a half miles from the town Centre and it was nearly £4 for a return!

And it meandered through everywhere before getting me home! :-(

But a Bus Pass would come in handy, if OH was using the car.

Your Scotland teams are doing fantastic at Rugby Robert. They have really come on by leaps and bounds the last couple of years.

Wales seem to have peaked a few years ago! :-( :-(

I got mine at 60 but I think you have to older in our area now.

I use the bus a lot more now than I've ever done but we have excellent services here. One every ten minutes into the city centre. :-)

What's your service like Jem?

Fly, what about yours?

JemimaFawr Report 17 Jun 2016 20:24

:-D :-D :-D Why not Joy!

I love my Wales Rugby Team, but I also like good sportsmanship and fairness.
I think sport should bring people together not divide.

Awful incident on the footy earlier.
Croatian fans threw loads of flares on top the pitch. A fire cracker went off in an officials face! It cost the Croatians the game as they had to have extra time then, and the other team scored and drew

JoyLouise,

What Andy Murray said when asked what Team he was supporting was "any team that's playing England".

That is what a lot of Scots say when our Team is not in a Competition and lets face we seldom qualify.

Fly

Fly Report 17 Jun 2016 20:22

That will be interesting Joy :-D

JoyLouise

I'll support anyone who pays me to do so Jem. :-D

The older I get, the more cynical I am. :-0 :-D

JemimaFawr Report 17 Jun 2016 20:20

Sounds really good, Joy :-)

Is it still 60 for a bus pass?

If so, I've got just over a year to go! :-)

Definitely Fly! :-D :-D :-D

Hi is soooooo fickle too!

Don't forget he's an Irish Catholic, so ...When it comes to Rugby, he hates England.

But when it comes to Soccer... he loves them! :-S :-S :-S :-S
and he's a MAN U supporter!

So what's that about! :-S :-S :-D

The Northumberland and Durham Family History Society is putting on four talks and refreshments. My cousin has been a member for years and I joined last year. I want to go to the two morning talks and perhaps the first afternoon one then meet Grdtr and have a look around the shops before we have our tea.

I am bussing it, using my bus pass, and the bus goes 'all round the houses' so I have to leave early to meet cous for coffee first.
