I am going to miss that girl
I already miss the chats and the giggles.
She was so beautiful, so kind and funny..
I knew I had to say goodbye one day, I didn´t want to
loose Wend as a friend her death has devastated me .
Collecting for a memorial is was I threatened her, the memorial is what i promised her

I thank each and every one of you that helped me make that threat come true

Liz I shall not be alone as Mo (Rocking Granny) is coming with me. Also my old pub used to be near there, and as I traveled with both my pool and bar billiard teams I will not be surprised to see some faces that I remember.

It would be nice to see some faces of names from here, but if that doesn´t happen Mo and myself will fly the flag and broomsticks for GR. :-D

Well done, Uzzi, so pleased you could reach the goal. It will be lovely to think of the statue in Wend's garden, showing her family how much she was thought of by us all, and hopefully giving support and comfort to them.

I hope there will be people you know at the funeral but if not, I am sure other mourners will be interested to speak to you and hear of the connection with Wend, GR and the meets etc.

I am so pleased that enough donations came in for the statue. I had already sent my donation to the Hospice so did not contribute to this fund. Thank you for organising it Uzzi <3 <3 <3.
I am unable to attend the funeral but my thoughts will be there with all the family and friends who do go <3

When I went to order the statue, the small one was out of stock :-( so determined was I that we were having that statue that I ordered the larger one instead :-D :-D

I am pleased to say that we reached the amount needed <3 <3 <3 <3
We might even have a little left over to order a plaque to go with it.

I have informed R that he has a parcel arriving and he has assured me that not only will our memorial find a loving place in Wends beloved garden but he will also take photo´s of it.

To all of you, who have contributed towards it I thank you from my heart. <3 <3

Thank you also those of you who have sent donations to the hospice as Wend wished for instead of flowers. Martlets meant a lot to Wend as it is where her Brother in law spent his remaining time, and Wend knew when the time came it was where she would go to. Not that she intended spending long there and Wend true to herself decided if she couldn´t party in there she wasn´t staying, She used the hospice as an overnight stepping stone to heaven, so her adored family wouldn´t be the ones to find her.

I would love to meet any who are also attending on Tuesday, not the Hove meet it should have been but we will raise a glass to Wend xx

It really is quite difficult to have any kind of a laugh, joke or even a smile on here at the moment without our Banterloonie friend Wend.
