My partners aunt Jane got a phone call from Microsoft at work telling her that her home computer had a fault but if she went to it now he could fix it for her. Jane said that she was at work not home. He responded by saying " You are at work not home? Where is it you work?" Janes response was Hewlett Packard. Strangely Janes had no more calls at work.

"Microsoft" called us twice, about 3 months apart

Once at 9 pm, and once at 5:30 am

They both got blasted, and told that I was calling the police as cold calls were illegal at those times.

They both hung up.

I only wish my mother (who has call display) would answer some of those Microsoft calls!

She recently inherited a Mac laptop from my sister, so she could occupy them for a while hunting for all the bad files that aren't there ...

I also have a home security company that calls from time to time. Well, they identify them as XYZ company, but I asked XYZ company (since the calls are illegal) and they said not them. Every time, they ask for the woman who had my number 3 years ago. Every time, I tell that to the woman who calls - same woman every time.

Next time, I will make an appointment .........
