Seem to remember when in BAOR 1960s that all new bridges, tunnels etc had to have "points" where explosives could be placed to demolish the item if needed during a war. |

I think it was planned in case an army invaded through the tunnel but surely whilst you're amassing troops at the tunnel they'd just be flying in behind you !! |
