Well if we look at the leaders of the SNP,
one was a Salmond and now we have a Sturgeon,
something fishy going on there.

Excuse me folks my attempt at a joke, not funny I know.

Caroline

Caroline Report 21 Apr 2017 11:24

I'm sure you do Allan :-D

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2017 11:22

I know a Rugby Song about a fish known as a Sturgeon :-0

For the record, the thread was about dear NS stating she and only she could run the entire country and would form a coalition Government.

Caroline

Caroline Report 21 Apr 2017 11:11

alas no.

Allan

Common sense is not so common :-D :-D

As a slow typist, I'm pleased that my efforts haven't been whooshed along with the thread, :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 21 Apr 2017 11:00

You'd hope but I wouldn't hold your breath.

just seen your post Caroline. I highly doubt GR would leave tree on line if/when they fold the site. I moved mine offline elsewhere years ago.
I think (hope!) they would give notice to enable members to export their work.

Caroline

Caroline Report 21 Apr 2017 10:53

Not that it matters but in the last few mins common sense has prevailed.

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2017 10:53

Probably, at a cost :-| :-D :-D :-D

Island

Island Report 21 Apr 2017 10:52

Allan, but. Personally I don't care if GR folds but while it is still in existence I shall stump up my low cost sub as it permits me to contact other members rather than leave then have to pay a lot more in the unlikely event a new tree interest should arise.
When it's gone, it's gone. There are other avenues.

I feel for those who seem to rely on chat for daily contact but again, there are other places to chat - for free.

bottom line is - is all this angst worth it? GR don't care so why are we making a money spinner for them? Perhaps I should help them on their way?

Caroline

Caroline Report 21 Apr 2017 10:48

I wonder when they fold whether they'd at least leave the trees on line for reference.

Allan

Allan Report 21 Apr 2017 09:52

Unfortunately not, Rose, just a basic membership that allows me to post etc :-)

Rambling Report 21 Apr 2017 09:48

Probably not Allan ;-) but saying that they might do if you have a full membership here for records and stuff ?

Allan Report 21 Apr 2017 09:44

Rose (welcome back, by the way) I am a subscriber to FMP.

If GR suddenly closes before my subscription expires, will the outstanding amount be deducted from my FMP subs? :-D :-D

I know the answer to that one ;-)
