I like him,and think he has done a wonderful job.He says what he thinks
Even today he made jokes when unveiling a plaque and the curtain fell down.

Of course ,I remember him when quite a young man and in1964 when queen was pregnant with Edward,I went to see them land at our station.then they split, she went one way and he came past my house and I stood in the garden and he waved to me.
He was a very handsome fellow.
Let him enjoy some quality time!

Good luck and I hope he enjoys the rest of his retirement - in peace.....!

What does annoy is the endless rabbit rabbit from the media. The BBC have spent at least a third of each news bulletin today on nothing else.

Somewhere it was said that the British TV/Radio news programmes couldn't or wouldn't discuss any UK elections until 10pm tonight, That was to avoid unduly influencing today's local elections.

However, was it really necessary to devote 10 mins to Philip's retirement at the start of the main 10pm BBC news? The Polling Stations had just closed - why not lead with that then Phillip, 2nd?

Grumbles aside, he is remarkably agile for someone of his age.

Hope he stays healthy enough to enjoy his retirement and his remaining years, doing what he wants when he wants. I wonder why the Queen doesn't ease back even more and share Philip's company more often.

UK elections happen every year, this is the first time in my life that the consort has retired. So I reckon it was the lead story.
