The Girls' Club is this building. (Edit: it says so in the stone above the entrance. It's an impressive Girls' Club and was even more so in the era it was built.)

It's a couple of years since I last posted a reference to the Flame Warriors. The girls club is quite a common phenomenon described here under Cyber Sisters.

About the Girls' Club that Rollo mentioned on another thread and that Allan mentions here: as far as I am aware there is no girls' club on here.

I believe Rollo meant it as a derogatory remark but it fell short of target as it's a building depicted in my piccy here.

Folks,, this building is the real Girls' Club - built as such in Port Sunlight.

I'm not around enough anymore to notice deletions, usually. There used to be some posters who deleted everything every few days.

It can be irritating but I've done it when things on a thread I started got toxic.

Deleted posts irritate the hell out of me.

Often you may have researched an appropriate statistic to reinforce your reply and find you have wasted your time because someone doesn't like facts!

If you cannot stand by your posts then push off.

I have apologised a few times when my post has caused upset but I leave my post intact so GR peeps can make their own judgement.

I was contemplating posting that old Grouch Marx quote "I wouldn't consider joining any club that would have me for a member" but someone far superior to me will probably have something similar to post ;-) :-D :-D :-D

I suppose it doesn't matter in the real world.
Just seems utterly cowardly to rant on about something - throwing insults left, right and centre, putting people down in the process (and possibly upsetting them), then deleting everything, only to pop up again a few hours/days later with a 'who me' (usually with a thinly disguised insult) as if nothing has happened. :-|
