Many times on a New Year morning, I have gone to the coast early enough to see the sun rise on the New Year. Looking across the Channel towards France, I've never experienced the super colours of a glorious sunrise, but it's a nice way to start the year.
Couldn't face that this year :-(

Hope the weather bucks up, so that I can go for a walk near the sea soon though... but not crack of dawn :-0
