I know there were some Greens living on narrow boats,I think it was somewhere in the Blackcountry because theyhave turned up when I am searching for my own Greens on census. |

Does anyone have any information please regarding my canal boat ancestors under the name of PARKER, they originated from the Midlands, but when the new laws came into force about children, they took up residence in Runcorn although still working on the boats? |

Hi Teresa, I am researching the PARKER family, they originate from the Wolverhampton area but also later on, presumably because of new laws or canals opening they put down roots in Runcorn, any info would be very much appreciated! |

Stuart if you know that there were baptisms at the same church, have you contacted the archivist if they have one? |

My Gt.Gt.G.father was a Lighterman on the Thames, and his father before him. My namesake won the Doggett Coat and Badge in about 1845, but sadly I can't find a direct relationship with him. |
