There are really to many who have made me laugh when I am down with their mad jokes/threads love reading them all. Of course the help and advice I have been given over the years. Eternally grateful to She Wray without whose help my hubby would never have found a family (he's an orphan). Strump who is as dippy as me (sorry Strump) and Pink Diana for her kind heart and yes bravery. There are so many lovely people on this boards who far outnumber the Wum's. Thank you all love and best wishes. Pat

Some say on here go start your own thread, and that people are spoiling this 'nice' thread. Yet some are the people who jumped on another thread last nite to cause trouble on what was a peaceful thread which was a few days into its life without trouble.I saw the nasty wind up comments made to the poster of the thread. it was bang out of order its the same two people who on here who are moanin about robin yet they were much worse for no reason other then to upset the person. thought they would get away with it coz it was fri nite.and why woz poeple on this thread looking for the buiiie thread late lasy nite, was it to add more trouble or to see if you got a reacton. I enjoy talking to all who give me respect and my friends on here are too numerous to mention. I enjoy the 'fun' threads and loathe the threads which set out to upset. Happy Saturday to all:-) BC XX

I third that, but sorry, i have a gob on me, and If i see someone's comment, which is an attack on someone, i'll say something. The hypocrisy on this board can be most amusing.

I'll probably end up with no friends after this comment :-( : how I see it, it is 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other. Tit for tat. Both sides seem intent on having a swipe (however nice they are) at the other side. In their own minds, both sides appear to feel justified after what has gone on in the past (and to some extent what is still going on). I cannot see any resolution to this. I think Gr should set up one thread (probably hidden in the corner of the board somewhere with a warning), where they can swipe away at their hearts content and let the rest of us ignore it and carry on having fun. They would not need to post on each others threads then as they would have one dedicated thread. They could call it the Boxing Ring or something. You never know they could possibly sell tickets. **runs quickly from the thread before I get a punch**

I think we have a serious problem with people using fake accounts. They obviously aren't brave enough to say what they want with their main account, so have to use a fake one. GR Should clock card numbers, and only allow one account per card. It wouldn't sort them all out, but some of them it would.

Side-ways digs are everywhere on these boards. Thing is some admit them, others hide behind victimisation.

I agree with you David, I enjoy mickey-taking, and a little debate, but when someone personalizes it (With something very serious I might add) I can't stand there, and say nothing. Some people on here are Class-A Bullies, but they often cry on about how hard done by they are, and how much they're being bullied. It's those people who annoy me more than others. As for me, i give as good as I get.

I agree, David. Debate is good, mickey taking is fun, hissy fits are hilarious. BUT going for character assassination and jugular stabbing are just plain nasty and leave a horrible taste in the mouth.

Paul

Paul Report 18 Nov 2006 11:04

I like the phrase 'Jugular stabbing' :-)

I admit it, I sometimes get too involved in these threads and cannot let something I really disagree with lie. other threads I steer well clear of. Have to agree with BC, it can get too personal or vicious at times. What really annoys me is when a nice thread turns nasty and the whole thing gets deleted. People that aren't normally involved find themselves in the middle of a battleground.
